The recently completed renovation of the Alberta J. Canada Mixed-Use Low Income Housing Building in Tacoma’s Hilltop District represents a successful collaboration between Buffalo Design, Tacoma Housing Authority and the surrounding neighborhood. The project included a complete renovation of all apartments, offices and common areas, and also created new community spaces. The brightly colored mural by Tacoma-based artist Mauricio Robalino was officially unveiled last month in a public “Building Celebration and Art Reveal” featuring City of Tacoma Mayor Victoria Woodards.
